The2.6 Rekon is basically the same weight as the 2.4. The tread lugs are the same size. The difference is the 2.6 is a thinner lighter built tire. The 2.6 offers a bit more comfort and more traction for less aggressive riders who don't need as much support and can get away with lower pressures.
Inotice a big difference, but each with their own strengths. 27.5 is more “flickable” on the ground or in the air. Easier to make micro adjustments. 29 is more confidence inspiring and faster over the rough. I’ll take a 29 9/10 times over 27.5, but still love the feel of a 27.5. Flyer I have 27.5 x 2.8 bike and a 29 x 2.3 bike. The 29er has better rollover and speed. The 27.5 has better traction in kitty litter type of loose trails.
